Dottie + Ryan couldn’t have asked for better weather to say I do. The sun was shining and the clouds filled the sky creating the perfect backdrop for the day!
When we arrived Dottie and her girls gathered inside- beauty robes & monogrammed glasses filled with cocktails! Music was playing along with lots of laughter and last minute details! The environment was fun and lively! We took THE dress as well as her accessories and florals to head outside! We found so many fun spots to capture the small details of her look. We loved the venue right away!
+”Dottie, from the beginning, I knew you’d be a radiate bride to capture- so happy & thankful for all your friends and family to share the moments with. You have been grateful and appreciative of our work from day one and this makes for a connection. Thank you for being so warm and kind.”
Dottie was so full of life and joy! We couldn’t get enough of her happiness and excitement as she got into her gown, placed the finishing touches and out the door she went!
We spent some time photographing the bride & her closest girls- a large bridal party to keep things fun and loving! Then it was time to walk down the aisle!
Nick spent the morning with the gentlemen! He explained the environment to be much the same as the girls! Fun and lively- beer drinking and laughter- the way it should be! Ryan & his sons were happy and excited for the day- anxious to get to the venue to see Dottie! The bus ride over was a blast to photograph! Ryan looked sharp in his suit- he wore it so well. We loved the blue!
+”Ryan, thank you for making things so easy! You have been a pleasure to photograph alongside Dottie. I have seen a connection in the two of you since we began this photo journey. I know you will live a happy life. All the best to you!”
It was time for the ceremony! Dottie’s mother walked her down the asile- clenched to one another- filled with love and some tears they made their way to Ryan. Ryan stood happy with an eager look in his eyes as he watched his soon-to-be wife walk towards him. Ready to say I do and kiss her! The ceremony was short and sweet, presented by Jillian Benson who did a perfect job.
Dottie had the largest smile- so happy and (of course) filled with laughter while she spoke her vows. Her light was incredible and inspiring.
After the ceremony was complete we brought the family, wedding party and newlyweds together for some photos! We had a blast getting to know so many new people and bringing together friends from different places for memories they’ll have forever!
Ryan & Dottie, like their engagement session, were very easy to photograph. They are connected and relaxed around one another as well as playful. We adored how Ryan plays along with Dottie’s humor and embraces her silliness! The two of them really compliment one another so naturally! Photographing them together was a piece of cake!
This reception was a fun party for all! We had a ton to photograph and loads of happenings to capture! We felt as though both sides of the families, as well as all of the friends, become one in the celebration! Everyone sincerely enjoyed the time had and couldn’t get enough of the dance floor! Looking back, Ryan and Dottie will KNOW their guests had a blast that’s for sure!
AND! Let’s not forget about when Kori Dionne rapped- “None of Your Business”
by Salt N Pepa! That was pretty awesome.
Ryan & Dottie’s first dance was shared with their children. This was such an incredibly special moment to capture for them. The vibe during this dance was genuine and emotional. We loved how connected everyone felt.
Dottie then shared a dance with her mother which left very few dry eyes in the room.
+”Dottie, I MUST tell you- I LOVED that you shared a dance with your mom. I think that was one of the most special times I will capture this year. The photo of you kissing her cheek literally brings tears to even my eyes! You should forever cherish that moment.”
The reception started off immediately with a party! Very few left in their seats! There were lawn games to be played, a fire pit to surround with friends and lots of awesome music to dance to! We never ran out of things to photograph! Such a fun time!
To round of the night Dottie and Ryan shared fireworks with their guests! It was incredible! One of the best firework sets we’ve seen at a wedding actually! And how gorgeous it was to capture the two of them looking on!
Dottie + Ryan,
May you forever cherish your wedding photos and each other. Remember to encourage and inspire the other every chance you get. Be friends as well as lovers. Share in your children’s play together- be silly and present. Forgive because you can and forgive quickly- life is too short. Enjoy your lives!
We look forward to following your journey. Congratulations you two- you deserve all the best things and all the best love.
